NOW HIRING AT AGATHĒ BUILDERS...

SKILLED CARPENTER

Build with purpose. Craft with care.

We’re looking for a Skilled Carpenter who takes genuine pride in their work and wants to be part of a team that cares — about the craft, our clients, and the homes we build.

This role is ideal for a qualified carpenter who enjoys custom residential projects, values precision and planning, and wants to work on homes that are thoughtfully designed and built to last.

About the Role

As a Skilled Carpenter at AGATHĒ, you’ll be hands-on across custom residential renovations and extensions throughout Sydney North Shore to Newcastle.

You’ll work closely with our Leading Hands, Site Supervisors, and Project Managers to deliver high-quality carpentry across all stages of the build — from structural framing and steel installation through to detailed finishes.

This is a role for someone confident in their trade, comfortable reading plans, and committed to maintaining a high standard of workmanship on site.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out all aspects of carpentry across custom residential projects

  • Structural framing, alterations, and steel integration

  • Installation of windows, doors, cladding, and external elements

  • Detailed internal fit-out work including fix carpentry and bespoke features

  • Reading and interpreting architectural and engineering plans

  • Working safely in accordance with NSW WHS requirements

  • Maintaining clean, organised, and professional sites

  • Supporting apprentices and contributing to a strong team culture

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Carpentry (essential)

  • Have solid experience in custom residential construction in NSW

  • Understand structural carpentry and renovation sequencing

  • Are confident reading and interpreting plans

  • Take pride in doing things properly — even when no one is watching

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully on site

  • Own all necessary personal tools

  • Have a current driver’s licence and a work-appropriate vehicle

  • Hold (or are willing to obtain) a current White Card

An interest or knowledge in healthy / high-performance building principles is a strong bonus — this is what we live and breathe at AGATHĒ.

Why Work With Us

We believe great homes are built by people who feel supported, respected, and clear on what they’re working toward.

At AGATHĒ, you’ll find:

  • A team that genuinely cares about you and our clients

  • Projects that prioritise planning, structure, and quality over shortcuts

  • Exposure to healthier, more considered building methods

  • Clear communication and organised site management

  • A calm, professional culture where standards matter

This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to work on projects you’re proud to put your name to.

Career Development

We’re committed to supporting carpenters who want to grow.

That may look like:

  • Developing deeper structural and detailing expertise

  • Expanding into healthy home construction systems

  • Progressing into Leading Hand responsibilities over time

  • Long-term stability within a well-run team

If you care about improving your craft and being part of something intentional, you’ll feel at home here.

How to Apply
